Industries Served
When choosing a service provider for consulting and training, one should always research results achieved with similar client companies or industries. One testimony to success is the completion of projects with proven results seen in the increase of customer satisfaction or bottom line. Here is a small list of technologies VRI has supported and/or trained with a description of our work resulting in much success.
Oil Production Industry
VRI has mentored over 300 completed projects in the upstream, oil industry. Most projects indicated over $800,000 in return on investment. Examples of projects included improving oil production, improving equipment reliability, reducing cycle times for work processes, improving inventory management, resource allocation of parts and people, use of new technologies as well as improving existing ones, improving fluid measurement systems, and trans-service related entities such as; Health, Environment & Safety, Procurement, Human Services etc. To date, VRI has trained hundreds in the oil industry in the use of Six Sigma and Lean tools and techniques the United States, Canada, Angola and Indonesia.
Pharmaceutical Industry
In both the manufacturing and distribution of pharma and consumer goods, VRI has mentored many projects. Projects have focused on waste reduction in raw materials, improvements in bulk manufacturing and fill, improving change-overs of equipment, optimized operation of equipment, reducing sample sizes for regulatory requirements, and many more. Working in Indonesia, Pakistan, India, Brazil, and Malaysia, VRI has mentored and trained many in this industry.
Manufacturing and Assembly
VRI has supported many companies in manufacturing and assembly processes. From liquid filled products to hardware, we have mentored several projects to completion. Kaizen Blitz events work well in this environment. In just 3-5 days, some events VRI has facilitated have given companies over $500,000 in return on investment. Projects range from cycle time reduction to scrap elimination, with the use of both Six Sigma and Lean tools. The advantage to VRI is our ability to bring a combination of Six Sigma, Lean and programmable logic controls into the solution of a business concern, a true turnkey operation.
Transactional and Service Industries
VRI supports distribution networks, call centers, invoice processes, process mapping, training programs, banking and mortgage projects, project management, research and development, sales and marketing and many other service related processes. Cycle time reductions, optimization in distribution centers, development of standard operating procedures list only a few projects in this area. Often, service related process employees do not see what they do as a process. VRI helps them not only see that their process has inputs and performance outputs, but we help them to make their processes better, faster and lower cost to exceed the customer requirements.
