VRI Manifesto

We Take Control of Our Process – We Start Without a Solution.

WASTE is a Four-Letter Word. And VARIATION is our Middle Name.

Let Us Help You Transform Your Business.

Making Your Process Better, Faster, Safer, and Lower Cost.

Our Manifesto

We are uncovering better ways of process improvement and problem-solving by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:

People & engagements over processes and tools

Working solutions over perfect solutions

Critical and creative thinking over analytical thinking

Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Principles of a Certified Process Hacker

I Believe That Every Process Can Be Improved And That It Is Our Duty As Process Hackers To Identify Those Improvements And Make Them Happen.

As a Certified Process Hacker, I am always on the lookout for ways to achieve operational excellence and lean performance.

The best way to achieve these goals is to constantly be on the lookout for ways to streamline processes, reduce variation, and eliminate wasted effort.

I am a Certified Process Hacker. I achieve operational excellence and lean performance.  I have the capability to transform businesses.

I have principles. Here they are:

1) Focus on the Customer

The customer is always right. Until they're not. But even then, their Delight is our top priority. This means we go to great lengths - even bending or breaking the rules sometimes - to make them happy. Because their satisfaction is what keeps us in business.

2) Eliminate Waste

Any activity that doesn't directly lead to the customer's Delight is wasted effort, and should be eliminated. This includes things like unnecessary steps in a process, duplicate work, waiting time, and anything else that doesn't contribute value from the customer's perspective.

3) Streamline Processes

We are constantly looking for ways to make our processes more efficient, so that we can deliver the customer's Delight faster and with less effort. This includes automating repetitive tasks, simplifying decision trees, and removing anything that gets in the way of a quick and easy resolution.

4) Improve Quality

We strive for excellence in everything we do, because our customers deserve the best. This means constantly evaluating our performance and making adjustments to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding their expectations.

5) Foster Collaboration

We know that two heads are better than one, so we encourage teamwork and open communication. This allows us to share knowledge and ideas, so that we can all learn and grow together.

6) Encourage Innovation

We believe that there is always room for improvement, so we are always looking for new ways to do things. This means challenging the status quo and thinking outside the box to find creative solutions to problems.

7) Embrace Change

We know that change is inevitable, so we embrace it instead of resisting it. This allows us to adapt quickly to new situations and take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

8) Drive Results

We are driven by results, not by activity levels. This means that we focus on those actions that will have the biggest impact on our customers' Delight. And we measure our success by how much we improve their process, not by how much work we do.

9) Data Driven

We believe in the power of data. In our quest for excellence, we must never forget that data is our most valuable tool. By analyzing data and using it to drive our decision-making, we can ensure that we are always moving in the right direction.

10) Continual Learners

We are passionate about our work and are constantly looking for ways to improve our skills and knowledge. We have a growth mindset and believe that there is always room for improvement.
